I’ve often said that when it comes to business, the entire world is an elevator, meaning that you should be prepared to deliver your elevator pitch whenever the opportunity arises.  There is no way of knowing who is standing next to you and how you might connect with them unless you make an effort.  Being open and friendly is one of the quickest ways to bridge those gaps, and the more often you do it the more you’ll realize we’re all connected in unexpected ways.
